    • An air handler is usually a large metal box containing a blower, heating or cooling elements, filter racks or chambers, sound attenuators, and dampers. handlers usually connect to a ductwork ventilation system that distributes the conditioned air through your home. 
    • High Velocity Systems use a special fan coil and air handling unit that generates high pressure air forced through small diameter ducts. The main supply trunk is either a rectangular or round duct that supplies air to flexible, insulated, 2" diameter plastic feeder ducts. Air passes through sound-suppressing tubing at the end of a duct run before entering the room through a plastic collar fitting. 
  • Heat Pump

    • A heat pump constantly moves warm air from one place to another depending on the season. When it's cold outside a heat pump extracts outside heat energy and transfers it inside, giving you pleasant heating. When it’s warm outside, it reverses directions and acts like an air conditioner, removing heat from your home. A heat pump can be optimal due to the fact that it moves heat instead of generating heat and is powered by electricity, giving you greater energy efficiency. Heat pumps are best suited for moderate climates and a supplemental heating source may be needed for lower temperatures. Choose between single or dual stage heat pump compressors and between R-22 and R-410A refrigerant to give your heat pump a custom fit to your home. 
    • The most common type of heat pump is the air-source heat pump, which transfers heat between your house and the outside air. If you heat with electricity, a heat pump can trim the amount of electricity you use for heating by as much as 30% to 40%. High-efficiency heat pumps also dehumidify better than standard central air conditioners, resulting in less energy usage and more cooling comfort in summer months. However, the efficiency of most air-source heat pumps as a heat source drops dramatically at low temperatures, generally making them unsuitable for cold climates, although there are systems that can overcome the problem.

The Installation of ductwork may require removing large sections of walls or floors.
