The Mitsubishi Electric P-Series

Outdoor units, either cooling-only (PUY) or heat pump (PUZ) models, are compatible with each of the four different style indoor units, creating a wide range of installation possibilities. The outdoor units are completely assembled, piped, wired, and test run at the factory. The rugged, heavy-duty cabinet is constructed from a galvanized steel plate, finished with an electrostatically applied, thermally-fused acrylic or polyester powder coating for corrosion protection. The front fan grille is high-impact ABS plastic. The Mitsubishi Electric built INVERTER-driven compressors for models PUY/ZA18/ 24/30/36 are DC twin-rotor type, and the compressor for model PUY/ZA42 is a Frame Compliant Scroll compressor. All compressors are part of the Variable Speed Inverter Drive Technology, which varies the compressor speed dynamically to match the room load, increasing the efficiency of the system and resulting in significant energy savings. Electronic linear expansion valves are used to measure precisely and provide fine controls to the refrigerant flow ensuring exact capacity delivery. The outdoor units employ advanced Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM) circuitry. PAM adjusts the form of the current output wave to emulate the form of the supply voltage wave to effectively utilize 98% of the input power supplied.
