Carson Industries DuraGrid® (18" x 36" x 2") Plastic Condenser Pad
They are the result of more than 30 years of precision engineering and manufacturing. Over 5 million pads are installed worldwide.
DuraGrid® pads are one-piece structural foam and are molded from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which makes them lightweight and easy to carry and install. The textured finish provides a non-skid surface so that condenser equipment sits securely in one place, lessening any chance of slipping, the company says.
Similar in appearance to concrete pads, the structural foam molding process actually makes the DuraGrid pads stronger; they can withstand extreme handling, even dropping, says the company.
Because of their light weight, off-loading and installation can be accomplished by one person, saving time, says the company.
A nestable stacking feature enables tighter stacking and minimizes shift while stacked. Sizes are molded into the top and on all four sides of the pad for quick identification.
Whether installing new or replacing old, here's why DuraGrid works for you:
Lightweight - 80% lighter than pre-cast concrete.
Solid wall construction won't chip or crack. Install it and forget it!
Chemical resistant.
One person can install a pad in less than two minutes.
It's UV stable - impervious to sunlight.

Carson Industries LLC was founded in 1969 in La Verne, California and began supplying plastic grade level splice boxes to the Electric Utility Industry. The first 17 years were dedicated to the company’s expansion of its grade level enclosures into the Municipal Water, Turf & Irrigation, CATV and Telephone markets. The company also developed a series of Material Handling Containers sold to the food, industrial and government markets. In 1985, Carson manufactured a line of equipment pads developed for use in the heating/air conditioning and pool industries. In 1997, Carson expanded their manufacturing and custom molding efforts with the acquisition of Vision Molded Plastics. With numerous expansions over the past 30 years, Carson Industries currently serves a global market.
Through growth and development, Carson now has four plastic manufacturing facilities: the original location in La Verne, California; Napoleon, Ohio; Flora, Mississippi; and Roscommon, Ireland. Carson also has a new polymer concrete operation located in Colton, California.
